Over the years, so many people have asked “How do I start a vineyard or a winery? Is it something that’s attainable for the average person?” It’s a big question, but we’re going to try to answer it, at least in part, by talking it over with Mark Freund, our Account Manager at Silicon Valley Bank.

In this episode David Topper, owner of Goosecross, joins forces with Tim Elliott, the host of Winecast.net, and Nancy Hawks Miller, our Director of Education.

Especially for our listeners, we are pleased to offer a 10% discount on all Goosecross wines (with free shipping for case purchases). Please call us toll-free at (800) 276-9210 and mention code: PC 51 (that’s Papa, Charlie 51).

Great piece of info here. A nice “realistic” view of what it takes to start. I always knew it was not all romance, but I had only a small idea of what it takes to actually do it ($$$$$).
Now, I know what I need to save to get my dream off the ground.
Cheers!!!!!
Thanks for writing, Greg! If you’re not familiar with Crushpad (crushpadwine.com), it can be a great way to dip your toes in the water without getting yourself into too much of a time or financial “crush”. Some of our fellow wine-bloggers are making wine along with their readers this way, such as our friend Tim at Winecast (winecast.net)
Best of luck to you! Cheers! Nancy
